The Stowaway Fairy in Hawaii, written and illustrated by Mary Kosk, Island Heritage Publishing, 99-8880 Iwaena Street, Aiea, Hawaii 96701, (808) 487-7299.
I found this book on the island of Kaua'i and it's the cutest children's story. It's about a garden fairy who lives in Vermont. She spies a bouquet of flowers inside the house and flies inside to see them. In reality, it is an Aloha shirt and no sooner than she had discovered this fact, she was packed in a suitcase.
She arrived in Hawaii and had never seen so many flowers. She meets a little girl, Hawaiian Fairies, and experiences the ocean for the first time. Read how she sneaks back into the suitcase to return to her garden in Vermont.
